The honest sum

What you actually pay.

$200

Rather skip the finance? Pay $1,500 up front, all incentives applied, nothing owing after that.

The price we quote is the price on your invoice. We quote after seeing photos of your current system and switchboard, so there are no install-day surprises. If anything genuinely extra is needed, you hear it before you book, never on the day.
Questions

The questions everyone asks first.

Think of it as a giant thermos with a small air conditioner attached. It pulls warmth out of the air to heat the water in the tank, instead of burning power to heat it directly. That is why it runs on about a quarter of the electricity of an old electric tank.

$200 up front. The rest sits on a 0% interest loan you pay back at your own pace, over up to 10 years. Prefer no finance? Pay $1,500 up front with all incentives applied and that is the end of it. No interest, no ongoing account fees.

Yes. These units keep working down to around minus 8 degrees. Sydney’s coldest mornings sit around 3 to 5 degrees, nowhere near the limit. They heat water in Canberra winters, so a Sydney July is easy.

Good, you should check. Goldsure delivers the NSW incentives in partnership with Eco Lightup, an accredited provider under the NSW Government schemes, and you can look Eco Lightup up on the official government registers yourself before you talk to us. We link them on this page. Any installer who can’t show you that, walk away from.

No, and this is the thing we’re known for. We confirm your fixed quote after seeing photos of your current system and your switchboard. The number on the quote is the number on the invoice. If your home genuinely needs something extra, you hear about it before you book.

290L suits most homes of 2 to 4 people. 330L suits bigger households of 4 or more, or homes that run multiple showers back to back. We confirm the right size when we quote.

The all-in-one has the tank and the heat pump in a single unit, simplest install, one footprint. The split system separates the tank from the compressor, which gives more flexibility on placement and keeps the unit even quieter near living areas. We recommend the right one for your home layout.

Most installs are done in a single visit of a few hours. You’ll have hot water again the same day.

We disconnect it and take it away as part of the job. No skip bin, no extra charge.

About as loud as your fridge, and it lives outside. Most people stop noticing it within a day.

A minimum 5-year whole-of-system warranty, that’s a NSW requirement we’re happy to be held to, with up to 7 years on the tank on split-system models. And our own licensed team is who you call, not a call centre.

Goldsure’s own licensed plumbers and electricians. No subcontractors, no marketplace labour. The people on this page are the people who come to your home.

For most homes, roughly a quarter of what an old electric tank costs to run - the heat pump pulls warmth out of the air instead of burning power to make it. Most households see the difference on their first full bill.

Some plumbers are wary of heat pumps because of cheap early models that failed young. Fair enough - we saw them too. It is why we only install units we are happy to put a 5-year whole-of-system warranty behind, with up to 7 years on the tank, and why our own team services everything we install.

No. A heat pump runs off your normal household power and cuts the bill on its own. If you have solar, you can set it to heat during the day and run it on sunshine. And if you are thinking about adding solar later, the same interest-free finance can cover that too.

Eligibility

Do I qualify?

Most Sydney homes do

  • You own the home. Owner-occupiers and landlords both qualify.
  • Combined household income under $210,000.
  • The home is in Sydney or elsewhere in NSW.
  • You are replacing an existing electric or gas hot water system.

Renting?

Ask us anyway. Landlords can use the same interest-free finance to upgrade the property, and we talk to landlords every week.

Not sure where you sit? Send the form and we will tell you straight, at no cost and with nothing to sign.
